Gerald Ciolek (Cologne, Germany) 21

As a 19 year old Gerald won the German National Road Championships and went on the following year to win the U/23 World Title. He is still only 21 but managed to find great success in his first year on a ProTour team in 2007 winning three stages in the Tour of Germany, two stages in the Tour of Austria, the overall in Rheinland-Pfalz Rundfahrt and the first stage of the 3 Länder Tour. His main focus at the beginning of 2008 will be Milan San Remo followed by his ambition to make the Tour de France team. He is shy in a crowd but confident in a good way.
