Mark Cavendish (Isle of Man, UK) 23
The most impressive thing about young Mark is the ease at which he moves on the catwalk! However he is also quite the success on the bike. In his first year as a pro in 2007 he took the world by storm winning eleven races... and he still has a lot to learn. The BBC called him the revelation of the season. He is motivated, he's a fighter and he loves to win. It's all or nothing for him and we are bound to see him break his record of 11 wins in the coming season.

I am never happier than when I am winning, whether it is a track race or stage of a big race. As long as I am winning, I am on top of the world.
It's an unbelievable sense of achievement when you cross the line first, knowing all the hard work your team and yourself have put into the race, and everything leading up to it, has all been worthwhile.
I want to keep winning - big, small, long, short, road, track, hard, easy - it doesn't matter, as long as the team or i are first across the finish line. I just love racing my bike!
