Oenone Wood (Canberra, Australia) 28

Oenone started cycling relatively late but within no time was a top rider in the world. In her few years in the peloton she has won the World Cup Series twice, claimed a couple of National Titles, a Commonwealth Title and represented Australian at the Olympics. She is a power rider and excels at tough one day races and short steep climbs. Her goal is to win a World Championship before she retires.

I love riding through really spectacular terrain and being able to remind myself that this is actually my job. I live and train most days in an area that other people go to for holidays. That is motivation enough for me. I also really like the speed and "organized" chaos of racing.
