Strong performances for Arndt in Italy
March 30, 2008
Judith Arndt put in some good performances over the weekend in the two one day races called GP Cosat Etrusca. On two consecutive days a strong field raced over some difficult terrain with both races containing hill top finishes.
Ardnt placed fifth in Saturday's race and third on Sunday feeling herself come into form for the up and coming classics.
"I like racing in Italy," she explained. "It's always hard racing with a lot going on and a lot of attacks. Today's race was perfect for me really because the uphill finish flattened out for the last 300m. Unfortunately there were two girls up the road."
Team Director Ronny Lauke was very happy with the way the girls race. "It was very tough and exciting racing and the girls did well. I'm really looking forward to the racing coming up to see what we can do."
