Judith Arndt crashed on Saturday in the penultimate stage of the Giro d'Italia breaking a bone for the third time this season.
Sitting in second place overall in the Giro d'Italia Arndt and her Columbia-HTC teammates were set to go on the attack Pesco Sannita, when she was taken out in a crash and was taken in the ambulance to hospital.
X-Rays showed that she suffers a break in the upper arm. Arndt crashed in training early in the year and broke a collarbone. At her first race back in late April she crashed and broke her wrist. She will travel to Hamburg Sunday morning for further test and assessment of how long she will be out of racing.
