Phil Liggett will be the special guest of Team High Road at the Cubberly Theatre in Palo Alto Theatre on February 15th as the team comes to California after an exceptional start in January with victories at the Australian National Championship and the Tour Down Under. Riders and staff of Team High Road are currently in San Luis Obispo, California for the annual training camp and will head to Palo Alto for the Team Presentation and the start of the Amgen Tour of California. Liggett will introduce the 29 male riders and the 13 women as they present their goals, mission and partners for the coming season.

Liggett has been commentating on cycling since 1967 and has reported on ten Olympic Games and 33 versions of the Tour de France. He is often called the “voice of cycling” and a collection of his expressions, commonly known as Liggettisms, was published in 2005. He is the most well known English speaking cycling commentator in the world and his famous voice will also be heard reporting for Versus during the Tour of California which starts on January 17 in Palo Alto.
