Hammond takes the first win in Team High Road colours

January 06, 2008

Roger Hammond confirmed his talent in mud on Sunday when he took out the British National Cross Championships for the eighth time. Not only did he add another title to his name, now owning 10 National titles including two road titles, but he also made history by being the first rider to win a race in Team High Road colours. Hammond was pleased to end his cross season with this victory. "It was also nice to take a win the first time out in the new kit," he said. Next on the race schedule for Hammond will be the spring classics where he’ll no doubt have the opportunity to show his skills in the mud once again.
