CAVENDISH THROWS CAUTION TO THE WIND

The Guardian Britain's Mark Cavendish showed he is more than just a successful sprinter by going on the attack at the Tour of Britain yesterday. The 22-year-old from the Isle of Man has been the revelation of the season in Europe by winning 10 sprints in his first year as a professional but blew caution to the wind between Liverpool and Kendal. He joined the first attack along Southport seafront and then attacked again with Russia's Alexander Serov after 45 miles. Read More
