Hincapie wins final stage of the Amgen Tour of California

After narrowly missing the win in an epic breakaway in Stage Four of the Tour and the team missing out of a win in stage six due to a technical issue, George Hincapie came through for the team to win the final stage today in impressive style.
Putting himself in the very early breakaway, Hincapie was away with a group of ten riders for the majority of the race. As the race neared the end, the break was down to only a five riders with Bissel’s Tom Zirbel staying away solo until the last lap of the circuits. The last lap all came down to experience and tactics and Hincapie managed to get the upper hand taking the win from Australian Rory Sutherland (Health Net).
