CNN - Sivtsov leads after Georgia stage win
April 27, 2008

BRASSTOWN BALD MOUNTAIN, Georgia (AP) -- Belarussian Kanstantin Sivtsov, competing in the United States for the first time, rode to a surprising mountain stage victory on Saturday to become the fourth overall leader in the Tour of Georgia.
Race favorite Leipheimer, who won the mountain stage last year, was third this time around.
The 25-year-old High Road rider began the day in eighth place, six seconds race leader behind Trent Lowe of Australia.
However, Sivtsov passed Lowe in the steep final half-mile to win the 142.3-kilometer (88.4-mile) Blairsville-to-Brasstown Bald Mountain sixth stage in three hours, 47 minutes, 16 seconds.
