Cavendish Reacts to Win
After nabbing stage 1 of the 2009 Giro d'Italia, Bicycling talked with Team Columbia-High Road's Mark Cavendish.

Team Columbia-High Road posted the very first time of the 2009 Giro d'Italia, crossing the finish line of the 20.5-kilometer team time trial in 21:50--then sprinter Mark Cavendish, who'd been selected at a team meeting to cross the line first, sat in a press tent just past the finish and watched a TV screen as every team took a shot at his chance to wear the pink leader's jersey.
