ROGERS READY TO POUNCE IF GREIPEL FADES DURING GROUP STAGE

Sitting on plastic picnic chairs around their team van at Goolwa yesterday afternoon, the six Columbia-HTC riders who supported Andre Greipel to yet another stage victory were visibly chuffed.
Peeling off various parts of their yellow, black and white uniforms to towel down their grimy limbs they re-lived the ride that was.
''How good does it feel when you're rolling like that?'' one team member asked another.
This is a unit that knows about winning, it did so 132 times last season, and the team that sprinting sensation Mark Cavendish calls his own. Four days into the first ProTour race of a new season, morale in the camp is already high.
As the informal post-race debriefing continued among the riders, sports director Allan Peiper was feeling satisfied, not just with his day's work of instructing his riders through a 149.5-kilometre journey that began at Norwood, but with a Tour that has been almost flawless so far.
