Greipel, one of Columbia-HTC's many world-class sprinters, claimed his third stage win of this year's race after he won a bunch sprint at the end of the 170-kilometre stage from Córdoba to Puertollano.
The 27 year-old, who was also victorious on the fourth and fifth stages, once again showed his sprinting prowess as he powered clear of a massed bunch of a riders to cross the line with arms raised.
